A message of hope for Reformation of the corrupted global disorder
Fellow Castaways on planet Earth,
I would like to take the occasion that the commander of the Apollo 13 mission, James A. Lovell, recently passed away to share my thoughts on lifeboats. Please refer to the collage of pictures attached to this post to connect with this text.
Most of you are probably familiar with the tragic, but teachable story of the Titanic. Designed and built to be “unsinkable”, the unthinkable happened before the marvel of its time could even finish the maiden voyage. It hit an iceberg that pierced so many sections of the partitioned hull that it could not stay afloat. This was a strike of nature that the designer of the ship had not foreseen. Many passengers died because of the hubristic assumption. The richest of them was John Jacob Astor IV, a well-known American business magnate who was returning from his honeymoon with his pregnant, younger second wife, Madelaine. She survived the disaster. Sadly, there were not enough lifeboats on Titanic because they would have spoiled the view.
There was a time where rich aristocrats and gentlemen were willing to sacrifice their own life for women and children, even the ones in Third Class. I am pretty sure that Our “ME FIRST” President would have been found in the first lifeboat, if he was faced with such a moral decision. I came across John Jacob Astor and his connection to the Titanic at a corporate event where close to 50 employees were flown from all over the World for one day to New York, to ring the opening bell of the NASDAQ Exchange. We stayed at the luxury St. Regis Hotel, founded in 1904 by Astor. There was a glass vitrine that mentioned his unfortunate demise. History is interesting and educational. I believe that there is a invaluable lesson from God to all of us in the story of the Titanic.
Recently I watched a thought-provoking documentary about the Titan Submersible that was built by the company OceanGate to offer tourist dives to the remains of the Titanic. Sadly, the experimental carbon fiber hull of Titan was crushed by the immense pressure of the icy Atlantic, incrementing the fatality count at this grave site by four precious souls. The implosion of the Titan was so sudden that its passengers could not even send a SOS (Save Our Souls) back up to their mothership. There was also no lifeboat on Titan. The parallels to Titanic are striking. Humans’ vanity and engineering hubris are alive and well. You may want to watch this documentary to appreciate how there were warning signs about the flaws in Titan’s design and implementation. There was an engineer who spoke up and took action to prevent the disaster. He was shut down with a lawsuit. The sub even had a special early failure detection system that recorded the acoustic cracks when individual carbon fibers were breaking. The data was recorded and shows that at some point the rate of fractures was going up massively. The hull essentially went over a failure cliff. These cautionary signs were ignored to save the business. When humans have a choice between riches and life, unfortunately too many of us choose money for ME over the life of others. We are whistling us to our own grave.
A rather hopeful and inspiring message is sent from the Apollo 13 disaster that ended well thanks to the creativity and resourcefulness of the crew and the large supporting team back in Houston. After the explosion of an oxygen tank on the service module, the crew of three evacuated to the capacity-for-two Lunar Module. They had to deal with limited oxygen, electricity, and water. To save themselves, they used the engines of the Lunar Module to control their space-drift around the Moon and back to Earth. One of the critical dangers that the crew had to overcome was a deadly buildup of CO2 in their small atmosphere on this six-day long Odyssey. Only by creating a makeshift CO2 scrubbing device from a small set of repurposed, misfit components did they succeed in maintaining their atmosphere healthy enough to stay alive until they could return to the command module for the final successful descend through Earth’s precious but thin atmosphere.
When I think what today’s Congress would have recommended them to do, I am pretty sure that Congress would have told the imperiled castaways that they were sending them thoughts and prayers, and that they should light a candle, join the prayers, and perhaps smoke some marijuana to calm their anxiety while slowly perishing in the increasingly toxic atmosphere without addressing the root cause of the emergency. We clearly don’t have a Congress who sees the deadly problems of our times and acts decisively to promote our survival. They just send thoughts and prayers and do a lot of trashtalking while enriching themselves, selling us out serving the special interests. Personally, I am worried about the following deadly sustainability emergencies that are threatening the Earth module that we all share:
1. Dysfunctional national government
The US Government system is marketed as a Democracy by our politicians, but it is a DINO (Democracy In Name Only). When we compare the simple scheme of one voter = one vote to the reality of a poorly aged, prototype system with Electoral College rounding up and down the weight of votes in each State, and Gerrymandered districts used to dilute the power of the party that is out of power at the State level, we have a system that is not able to react to small shifts of voter movements to guide the flight of the ship-of-state between Scylla and Charybdis. In this system individual votes don’t matter in most precincts. Only a few districts in a few states provide any input and find themselves inundated with election propaganda and lies. In recent elections we see that unhappy, disoriented voters who are in panic over the careening clown car of corrupted Government are trying to sledge-hammer the stuck steering wheel back and forth to turn the ship around towards safety. The culmination of this erratic and accelerating slide toward the cliff is the Trump 47 administration. A purely self-interested, trash-talking, toxic Agent Orange of Horror was able to escape justice by stalling the slow-moving crawl of the exhausted and blindfolded lady justice with money and spurious legal arguments by his corrupted lawyers. Now he has been able to wantonly sabotage the intentionally balanced, but inflexible structures of Government. Trump and his white blood cell minions are like the white blood cells of a body with a severe autoimmune disease who will not relent their destructive march before the infected body dies. Trump himself was damaged over four decades as he absorbed lead (Pb) that was dispersed through leaded gasoline everywhere where Americans drove. Lead is a known neuro toxin and is connected to violence and crime. Congress has abdicated its power of the purse and duty to set a course for the ship and hold the captain accountable to execute the laws faithfully. At this point Congress is a group of hostages who are toeing the party line to avoid getting culled by the corruptly pardoned January 6th wolves who have proven their willingness to violently enforce master Trump’s lawless, unfaithful desires. Congress’ decisions are solely driven by fear for their own lives and families. They are unable to comprehend the calamitous trajectory for all of Earth’s vital functions. Nobody fights. Some chose flight by not running for reelection to escape captivity. The majority appears happy to take advantage of the corrupt state to enrich themselves and create personal life rafts. White blood cells on a rampage. They belong in prison cells! The US is circling with rapid acceleration around the Abyss. When will the turd of a formerly great nation come out at the business end of the golden toilet? In what shape? Where is the lifeboat for this problem? The opposition can only master incoherent and meek whimpers, a cacophony of almost inaudible voices divided over many different frequencies (X, Substack, Blue Sky, Truth Social, Youtube, Tiktok, …) None of the terrified passengers truly knows how many others are desperate to turn the ship around to safety because there is no shared reality that we all experience.
2. Dysfunctional international order
The United Nations were created after the horrible experience of World War II to ensure that large and small countries could exist peacefully and cooperatively with each other. Russia’s relentless attacks on Ukraine and Trump’s musings of acquiring Canada and Greenland clearly prove that the special veto powers that their countries were bestowed with at the inception of the UN have been forfeited. Rules must be symmetrical and held up consistently and not just used as cudgels when it is convenient for the powerful to create the appearance of a rule-based system. The countries of the World are bullied by the Superbullies with their grotesquely supersized nuclear arsenals that have gorged themselves on precious resources that would have been better directed to move humanity forward on a sustainable path to a shared, positive and healthy future.
3. Climate change
The voracious exploitation of fossil fuels has powered an amazing, exponential explosion of knowledge and technologies. We must be grateful for the sacrifices of previous generations of miners who gave up health, and frequently even their lives, to extract energy, created by primitive life over millions of years, from the dark, dangerous depths of Earth. We have reached a point where further exploitation of fossil fuels and the pollution of the atmosphere with greenhouse gases is putting us on the road to climate hell. Over the previous 400,000 years CO2 in the atmosphere never exceeded 300ppm. In just my lifetime, less than 60 years, it has increased from 330ppm to 425ppm. Science has established that CO2 in the atmosphere leads to global warming. This knowledge was the foundation for the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. Under the Trump EPA (Environmental Pollution Agency) there is a push to remove the well-established safeguards and reestablish the freedom to pollute the atmosphere with impunity for profit of special interests. They even are shutting down the measurement systems and satellites that exist to monitor these harmful pollutants. Our ancestors knew long ago that eyes are precious. Why do you think the Bible mentions “an eye for an eye”? Will we allow the white Trump cells to do to the US what we would never accept from our worst enemy? It appears the US Supreme Court is happy to operate in a blinded state. Just look at blindfolded Lady Justice who is their powerless mascot in this battle. While the blindfolded Justices are stumbling around in the dark, the White Trump Cells are turning off the lights.
Technology exists to rapidly reduce the use of fossil fuels. A personal example: In 2015 we invested in Solar Panels and a Chevy Volt plug-in hybrid. In 10 years and over 159,000 miles this car has been a joy to drive around town and some longer trips with an average of 170MPG. Had we chosen a gas-only SUV like many others did, we would have burned 8.5 times as much gasoline. If many consumers had made a similar investment at that time we could be living in a world where crude oil only costs $20 on the global market. Russia would not have enough money to wage their violent and deadly war of aggression on their neighbor. It is not too late to start to move in this direction. We are now seeing wanton tariffs thrown at countries for buying Russian oil. The civilized, peace-loving countries in the world could choose to tax themselves on the consumption of harmful oil and then use the tax revenue to start to crimp our self-destructive thirst for oil. Just the declaration of such a plan would likely bring the global oil price down quickly when oil producers see that their noxious boondoggle is going down and they have only little time to extract profits. With such a substantial “Freedom Tax” on fossil fuels we would keep more money on our side of the global game board. That money would be able to fund the transition into a sustainable, renewable energy future for our children and to cushion the transition for those of US who need help. Unlike in Donalds erratic tariff game, the Freedom Tax would be truly paid by the producers of oil. If they can pump a barrel of oil for $15, they can sell it for $20 and still survive. We just need to curb our own addiction to oil to help stop feeding the beast and help that peace has a chance.
Ferocious fires like the Palisades and Eaton fires in California in January 2025 show clearly that our society is not prepared to handle the scale and severity of the fire superstorms that can be ignited by a single spark when the weather is “right”, or better wrong, to fan the flames and eviscerate whole cities with countless fatalities. Our awe-inspiring (in some deranged minds) capability to stack bunker-busting bombs on top of each other to pierce deep underground nuclear facilities on the other side of the globe is no match to mother nature’s primal forces that will easily reduce our lemming shelters to ash and toxic waste in a few hours on a sunny afternoon. We think we are unsinkable, but our high-tech society is extremely vulnerable with many Achilles heals inviting catastrophic failure or attacks by nefarious enemies. Just imagine a paranoid, single, old madman with an aging sensor system and compromised executive function at the controls of a nuclear arsenal with flawed information from an aging sensor system, asked to make a global kill decision in minutes under duress. We are only one electronic or software bug and a mind fart away from self-annihilation of Homo Sapiens. To me it appears that it is not a question of if but when we will win a collective Darwin Award when we accidentally blow up the crackling, sagging branch that helped us climb to the top of the evolutionary tree. Menacing nuclear guns are locked and loaded with hair triggers ready to administer the sinister, final solution to all of Homo Sapiens. What awesome and awful power we have created. We are all living under the nuclear sword of Damocles. Can Hollywood keep us all distracted and peaceful long enough until we wipe us out? “Don’t look up!” captures our Zeitgeist spot on.
4. Severe and accelerating pollution of the vital biosphere that we need for wellbeing and survival
Humanity is looking down on an amazing journey of discovery in the realm of natural sciences. Many of the items that we grasp every day are a product of chemistry and engineering. Unfortunately, quite a few inventions that were highly decorated when they were first discovered turned out to be Faustian bargains that backfired badly after initially showing great promises.
When Thomas Midgeley Jr. discovered Freon, it replaced flammable, or toxic, or explosive substances in refrigeration applications. He received the “Midgley Priestley Medal” for his Pioneering work on Freon and tetraethyl lead (T.E.L.) in 1941. Many decades later the link between Freon and the Ozone hole was established and Humanity had to change course to maintain the critical Ozone layer protection of Earth’s atmosphere against destructive radiation from the Sun. Looking at T.E.L. it was obvious from the very beginning that it was a bad idea. Midgley himself was severely poisoned at one point during the development. Workers in the manufacturing plant reported seeing butterflies flying where there were no flowers. The financial benefit of having a compound that could be patented outweighed the toxicity concerns. Society accepted or was bribed through corrupt officials to endure sustained poisoning of everybody with a constant dose of neuro toxin for many decades. Special interests were making money hand over fist. The national lead intoxication only stopped when the lead was identified as toxic for the platinum in catalytic converters who were required to clean up other noxious tailpipe emissions. Thanks to the catalytic converter the air quality in big cities has improved massively. There are even blue Skys in sunny Southern California these days. Until the clouds of ICE raids moved in.
Plastic has been a universal and cheap product with amazing versatility and a lot of short-term benefits. Unfortunately, plastic does not break down in the biosphere. It falls apart into invisible, hard-to-detect microplastic particles that are accumulated in the food chain and will ultimately lead to our brains getting plasticized from within. Think about a future where Homo Sapiens consists of the same material and is as intelligent as a Barbie Doll. We must turn away from plastics to compostable materials that can be part of a healthy, circular economy that creates value for humans without destroying Earth’s vital functions.
Forever chemicals (PFAS), a large family of substances with molecules that are indestructible in the natural environment, are another accumulating time bomb that we must defuse.
5. Unsustainable fiscal trajectory
Giving tax cuts to the rich and underfund the Government while the economy is healthy is no investment in a healthy, sustainable future. It is a corrupt act that steals from our children and future generations.
6. Loss of a shared purpose
We live in a time where many young people ask themselves what the purpose of their lives could be. In the past, religion, nationality, culture, and language established communities that provided a meaningful direction through life. At the same time these diverse value systems also created dividing lines and a lot of discord and even wars. I believe that working on the many global sustainability challenges could be a shared purpose for all of humanity. We all need a healthy atmosphere to breeze, clean water to drink, clean food, and peace.
Let me return to the lifeboat theme.
If we asked Jeff Bezos about his preferred lifeboat he might point to his superyacht. I personally have a lot of doubts that this pleasure boat will be a real lifeboat when the Trashtalker’s foot with the bone spurs kicks the nuclear football out of the ballpark in a moment of rage and spite against humanity.
If we asked Elon Musk what a lifeboat for humanity should be, he appears to choose Mars. He is dedicating a lot of resources to ultimately sending humans to the Red Planet. Humans’ biology has evolved over hundreds of Millions of years and is finely tuned to Earth’s beautiful environment with a nourishing and protective atmosphere. If a larger number of humans would go to Mars, it would require a tremendous amount of oxygen to accommodate the amount of Marijuana-smoking that would be needed to keep those Muskonauts “happy”. Thanks, but no thanks. This is not a good solution IMHO.
Finally, I would like to share my personal vision of the most suitable lifeboat for all of us here on Earth. Here is a riddle:
I spy something with my little eye that is an OBBB.
I spy something with my little eye that is not “The One Big Beautiful Bill”.
I spy something that cannot be easily seen.
I spy something that is BIG.
I spy something that is blue.
I spy something that is One Big Blue Ball.
When I look at the Earth-rising picture from the Apollo 8 mission I see the potential to create a lifeboat for 10,000,000,000 people that could traverse our galaxy for a very long time, like 100,000 years. Imagine the wonderful knowledge that we could accumulate if we could create a sustainable, peaceful civilization that endures over a timescale 4,000 times longer than the period since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.
We can be the truly conservative generation that started the “Earthshot” initiative, the Global Sustainability Reformation that conserved Earth for future Generations.
Or we can be the Generation that walked blindly over the edge of the cliff and dropped the nuclear football.
I have a dream: We can all join and salvage this beautiful and precious lifeboat Earth before the special interests finish scuttling it.
I believe that Donald Trump was saved by God when the attempted assassination in Buttler only grazed his ear.
I believe that God’s act and protection helped Trump to get elected as the 47th POTUS.
I believe that God saved Trump to serve as HIS Orange Highlighter of Corruption at the national and international level. Trump was very quick in revealing fundamental, systemic weaknesses of the US constitution and UN charter that essentially open the path for corrupting forces that can destroy the original, good intent at the foundation of these rules-based systems. Trump is God’s WRONG WAY sign to humanity.
I believe that God saved Trump and made him behave so arbitrary, corrupt, and destructive as a shot across the bow to all of humanity to show how corruptible WE are and to clearly show that we all are on the WRONG WAY.
I believe that God saved Trump and let the bullet graze his ear as a shot across his bow to give him a chance to think about his eternal future, to find his road to Damascus, and to lead the world in the opposite direction of his initial corrupt acts towards a sustainable future.
Let us all work together to turn this ship around. Global sustainability can be a uniting, fulfilling vision that transcends cultures, languages and countries. We all share a common biology. We can share a vision that guides us to a shared, beautiful and peaceful future.

Dear Friends, I have a hypothesis. Rather than presenting mathematical proof, I will wrap the evidence into a court story. I know only very few people like math but most people like stories and humor. You will be the jury on my hypothesis! Enjoy!! Donald Trump passed on the golden spoon. Here I need to provide some background. Germans use the expression “to pass on the spoon” (Den Löffel abgeben) when somebody dies. This relates back to the days when spoons were chipped from wood. So, this expression predates our destructive single-use, smooth plastic culture. A freshly whittled wood spoon has some pretty, or rather not so pretty, rough edges. After the spoon was used over somebody’s lifetime all the rough edges have been smoothed out and whoever inherited such a wonderful, polished spoon was rather happy to receive it from the person who passed it on. No splinter left behind! (Loud cheers from people who are happy that Donald gave up his spoon … Using this expression for Donald makes sense with his German DNA in mind.) Donald Trump comes to Heaven. Long pause. What a joke! I could stop right here and declare Mission Accomplished. Flash picture of George W. Bush Mission Accomplished speech on the aircraft carrier here… At the gate, St. Paul is on guard duty, ensuring lawful processing of the asylum claims. He asks the tired, newly arriving souls to download the CBP HOME app so that their applications can be processed while they wait in purgatory-light for their applications to be processed. To make purgatory-light bearable the thermostat has been lowered from “Hell” to “Death Valley, Summer”. Some of the Souls are still whining about this setting and argue that after global warming has struck, they should receive a discount. They say the added heat feels like a tariff. Anyway, thanks to advanced AI processing the migrating souls don’t have to roast to the state of “clean beautiful coal” before their case is decided by the Artificial Intelligence, Immigration Judge (AI.IJ) application that has stored everything humans know and did and a lot more BS in its LLM (Large Language Model). Heaven can only run this extreme power-hungry application by sending many souls to Hell because humanity completely depleted the fossil fuels on Earth. That means Heaven must sell souls to Hell where they are finding their final solution to use AI. It is a truly Faustian Bargain. Background for the non-German reader: A Faustian bargain is a pact or agreement to exchange something of immense value, like one's soul or moral principles, for something desirable such as knowledge, power, wealth, or pleasure. The term originates from the German legend of Dr. Faust,(“Faust” in German is “fist”) who sold his soul to the Devil to gain knowledge and power. It signifies a self-defeating transaction where the cost outweighs the gain. As soon as Donald Trump has entered his name and the field with his final occupation (47th POTUS) St. Paul sends out a masked and armed ICE angel squad (imagine Charly’s Angels here in their jump suits; I love Farah Fawcett!) to grab Donald and bring him in an unmarked ICEcream truck to the See-GOD processing facility. Donald loves being grabbed by the Angels! A dream comes true! The sound of See-God reminds Donald of the CECOT facility (Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo) where he used to unlawfully fly illegal immigrants under the radar of the Supreme Court while he ruled the US. It was wonderful that these fools believed it was good to blindfold themselves. He is happy to hear that heavenly justice sounds very similar to the “Just HIS” Justice department that he had “reformed” or corrupted on Earth. With a little $Trump meme coin it should be possible to get a premium seat in Heaven. He still has $Billions of those in his Crypto company. His artificially colored, partially artificial hair is quickly shaved. He is escorted into a HUGE, Supreme-size court room. Donald feels right at home. He has spent a lot of his time on Earth in Court. A person with long hair and brown skin enters and sits down at the judge’s bench. Donald thinks: “Oh God help me, he looks like a Radical Left, Lunatic of a Judge, a troublemaker and agitator …” A door on the left opens and St. Paul appears. On the right another door opens, and St. Peter enters. St. Paul addresses Donald: Donald, welcome to your last tribunal. I am St. Paul. I hope you know me already well from your Bible studies. I understand you are a prolific seller of the Trump Bible and as such we assume you are expertly versed in the details of this magnificent book. I am the man formerly known as Saul who was a fervent persecutor of Christians. I met Jesus on the road to Damascus. You must have read about me in the Acts of the Apostles. I did a complete turnaround and after some hellish suffering on Earth in the name of Jesus I am now happy to be in Heaven and continue to serve the Lord in less painful positions. When we prepared your trial, we were looking for Matt Gaetz as your defender. Since you had nominated him to become Attorney General for your Second Coming, we thought he would be a trusted legal agitator on your behalf. Unfortunately, we did not find his soul. Somebody must have forgotten to put one in when they assembled him. This does happen sometimes. According to our records he was manufactured in the USA. They used to be very good in manufacturing, but recently the devil has slipped into their details. Now they only make stuff up. Consequently, God decided that I should be your defender. He believes that I am an expert in personal turnarounds and will be able to shine a powerful light on the turnaround opportunities that you had. He is the Decider around here, not George W. Bush (2006: "I'm the decider, and I decide what is best"). The good news for you is that I work pro bono. We know you don’t like to pay with your own money for your representation in court. Your $Trump meme coins are not legal tender in Heaven. Or Hell. Soul is the only currency that counts at the final judgement. St. Peter on the other side will act as the Prosecutor. Last, but not least, I like to introduce you to Jesus at the bench. He will be your Judge. I hope you don’t think of him as Judge Judy just because of his long hair. He is a man! But first let him wash your feet. They are so dirty from the long journey. Jesus loves the strangers from far away. I must share with you that this will be a bench trial. I believe you are familiar with the concept since your trial in front of Juan Merchan in the ‘hellhole’ of New York. I am quoting you here with the ‘hellhole’. I have the suspicion that if your trial does not go well and you must self-deport from Heaven, you would be very happy if you could evade your judgement by sneaking through the Lincoln Tunnel into Hell’s Kitchen, instead of dropping into real Hell. We here in Heaven think about Hell’s Kitchen in NY as Fake Hell… We know you are an expert trash-talker on Fake anything … Sorry I digressed. Sometimes my thoughts turn into a stream of conscience. Since you have no conscience, this is foreign to you. However, we have watched quite a few recordings in NEATFLIX, the heavenly streaming App, that show you trash-talking in a STREAM OF UNCONSCIENCE. Your highest rated titled was the “Access Hollywood tape”. It was rated (R), for Republicans only. A straight 10! We must do a bench trial because we could not find a single soul that could match you as a peer even after we send jury summons to all the souls that were already deported to Hell but have not yet been burned to power our AI.IJ app. Here in Heaven, we must fight the justice war with the army we have, not the army YOU wish WE had. Do you remember Donald Rumsfeld? That was another soul that missed the turn around… Because of this limitation we renamed our Justice Department recently to Just-War department. Archangel Michael fought for this change. Full disclosure: No relationship to your former fixer Michael Cohen. This court is not biased. Regarding the justice YOU wish WE had I am thinking about Pam Blondi, ahem Bondi here. I am sure you would be much happier if I looked like her. We noticed that you have a pattern to choose looks over qualifications when you ran the US Government show. We know you were very happy with the job she did on you in the “Just HIS” department in your Blondi crush time. St. Peter has prepared the maze, ahem map, of your life, so we can appreciate your journey and credit your achievements in life. Please take a look at the maze. Here St. Peter continues to address Donald: You were born on 6/14/1946. This is 23 years after the introduction of leaded gasoline in the US. The first 40 years of your life you had to deal with constant toxic lead exposure. It took the people a long time to stop this madness. Poisoning people for profit was ok. Just poisoning the precious metals in catalytic converters went too far… We are aware that lead exposure leads to violent behavior, so we were not too surprised to see some of that on your personal journey and will consider this in the judgement. You will get one lead Mulligan for this. I must explain that the lead Mulligan is here much more popular with the asylum-seeking souls than an Oscar on Earth. We see you had a cushy upbringing in a very well-to-do family. You dodged serving in the Vietnam War due to “bone spurs”, certified by a Dr. Braunstein as a favor to your father. Lucky you! You avoided exposure to Agent Orange that the US dropped prolifically and exfoliatingly on the Vietnam jungle, Vietnamse civilians, foes, and their own service boys. That means you will not qualify for the Agent Orange Mulligan in the final tally. You may notice that the maze of your life looks very similar to the board game “Game of Life” on Earth. (Source Google Search) What would a person from the days of Genesis think if they could time-travel into our world today? They would surely be amazed by the unbelievable recovery from God’s spell and the achievements that humans have been able to create as a group, collaborating over the global dispersion and language and cultural barriers that God created to limit us in our strive for the heavens. It only took a few thousand years to get to this point. A mere blip on the timescale of Earth that is measured in millions of years. The history of technological innovation is short on that scale. Hundreds of $Billions are wasted on wars that would be better spend to accelerate Humanity on a path to sustainability to prevent the climate catastrophe. Our unbelievable communication resources are wasted on spreading lies and propaganda to sow discord that separates families and ends friendships. Amazing computer capacity is created to run a global-scale Crypto scam that is looking for ever more suckers who are made to believe that they too can all get rich quick like the creators and true investors of this Crypto casino. I fear that we are now approaching the Tower of Babel cataclysm 2.0. Elon Musk, who has been an amazingly creative technological innovation warrior, is taking the chain saw to the Federal Government in a reform attempt where a scalpel would be the appropriate tool to cut out the small nodules of cancer that should be removed. It is a truly tragic story of epic proportions that reminds me of the cautionary tale of Icarus. Godspeed Elon! You have many golden parashoots. Unfortunately, the many people who you are disrespecting in the DOGE circus joke-show, while the feverish and delusional crowd cheers you forward with your chain saw, do not have the financial freedom that would allow them to glide to safety as easily as you will when your wings finally melt. In our oligarchic society, where tax cuts for the filthy-rich weigh down the country with debt, it appears that only rescue parachutes have upward mobility. Let that sink in! It is time for all of us to ask: “Have you no sense of decency, sir?” For how many of us does this line from congressional television in 1954 still ring a bell? I was not around but learned it from history. People forget their history and the important lessons that it holds at their own peril. Divided we fall. Be afraid of the people who make a wonderful living by splitting us up and who love the poorly educated who become easy marks for their organized scams. Humanity could be on an amazing, accelerating path of gaining knowledge if we follow the principles of science and truth in a world in peace that is guided by the Golden Rule. And this does not mean that the One with the Gold rules! Interestingly, the US Constitution does not explicitly guarantee us the Freedom of Thought! Was that an oversight? Do we need an afterthought here? The Founding Fathers probably thought that it is obvious that this Freedom cannot be taken from them. But it appears that many of us today, both on the left and right, have given up the Freedom of Thought, and outsourcing our own executive function to the groupthink that is manipulated by poor leaders who are filthy and rich and want to become even richer. Their greed has no limits and respects no borders. Any small country without its own nukes is a fair target for unfair shakedowns. MIGHT makes RIGHT. A veto trumps accountability for the powerful Nations with cushy permanent seats on the UN security Council. Laws and rules are for the small and weak. I believe we need the Constitution 2.0 where the Founding Mothers can include Freedom of Thought in the foundation of a reformed Republic. A healthy place free of toxicity where One Voter has One Vote! Isn’t it amazing that such a simple concept of “One Voter=One Vote” can be revolutionary? What world are we accepting to live in? Why should a modern country waste $Billions on stupid election advertisements and significant civic courage and effort to count votes, if its citizens do not even care to have each vote count? The Constitution 1.0 promised to establish domestic Tranquility in its preamble. Constitution 2.0 should preserve this desirable goal and extend it to the global village. I would love to have Freedom from Fear included. For school children there should not be a need to go through combat training of how to attack a deranged shooter with an AR15 that can shoot 20 rounds in 15 seconds who might appear at a moment’s notice in their classroom. I would love to live in an advanced society where I can exercise the Freedom to not wear arms because there is a well-trained militia that does, the Police. US small arms manufactures are making obscene profits by manufacturing unethical, dumb guns that kill 40,000 people a year in the US. That is equivalent to two 747 planes of precious human beings falling out of the sky every week. I am sure we would have more than “Thoughts and Prayers” for a technology problem where Boing sells 747s and two of them fall out of the sky every week to kill 40,000 of our loved ones every year. If we can have self-driving cars, we surely can ask for smart guns that end the American Carnage. The dumb guns are smuggled to Mexico to arm cartels with powerful rifles, even armor piercing sniper rifles, where Mexican police officers are simply outgunned in their battle to maintain tranquility for our friends in Mexico. Mexican politicians who want to work against cartels are simply executed on their streets. In return for the deadly guns the cartels smuggle deadly fentanyl and other drugs back to the US and make good money by selling bad drugs to our children. Soon they will be able to feed the illicit proceeds into Crypto ATMs in our local grocery store and then withdraw them cleanly laundered anywhere in the world. The paradise for the criminals who love Crypto is being created as we speak. How about including Freedom from Crooks in Constitution 2.0? There could be a Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that ensures that mainstream media do not describe purchasing of value-free Crypto coins as “investing” and instead refers to it properly as "gambling". Such an agency could also prevent value-free Crypto meme coins to be hawked on Crypto exchanges, or more appropriate Casinos, to make filthy rich Crooks even richer. Constitution 2.0 should ensure Freedom from Fear Of Missing Out . For that it should take away the Freedom of Crooks to create FOMO and scare people who are busy with their lives to send them their life savings. People deserve real protection in return for the taxes they pay. How about including the Freedom from Crooks in Government? Transparency in Government is more than having a King who has no clothes. Dear Friends, after more than 25 years in the corporate world, I do have an appreciation for the value of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). It makes it unlawful to bribe foreign officials to promote a business. We want that businesses succeed based on the quality of the products and not based on the size of the bribes paid to the decision makers. Now that I am a small business owner and the Trump Administration has announced on 2/10/2025 that they have paused to enforce the FCPA for 180 days, with a potential 180-day extension by the Attorney General, I am asking myself and You if this is an opportunity to accelerate to grow my business faster. Kind of like lighting the candle on both ends. I feel that failing to enforce the FCPA is a corrupt act. It feels like they are trying to fight corruption with CORRUPTION! We know that fighting fire with fire does work, at least sometimes. The backfire can create a firebreak ahead of an approaching fire if the winds are favorable by exhausting the fuel. If the winds are a storm like in the recent Eaton and Pacific Palisades fires setting a backfire will – well, backfire. Corruption feels different from fire. I think this will lead to a corruptions’ arms race where more and more of the resources that could be used to make the products better are wasted on bribes. What do my corporate lawyer friends think about the wisdom of starting corruption while enforcement is paused? The pause is not like a corrupt Presidential Pardon which is permanent and cannot be undone even if it is corrupt. See the recent pardons of violent attackers of Congress. I am afraid that I will still be breaking the law and later may see extortion by the law enforcers. I am thinking about the NY Mayor Adams case here as well. I find it interesting that 30% of the representatives in the House have law degrees, and 51% of Senators, and nobody as far as I have seen has any concerns with the Freedom of Corruption that is created by presidential fiat. I thought Congress is the business that builds the laws, and the executive branch is executing them. Maybe the executive function in the executive branch is not functioning well any longer and understands the execution of the law like putting it on an electric chair? Words can be ambiguous. Who really knows what the meaning of “is” is? Maybe a lawyer? Unless someone can make a good case that corruption is our future I will stick with Nancy Reagan’s advice on drugs. JUST SAY NO!
On January 23, 2025, the White House published a fact sheet “ Executive Order to Establish United States Leadership in Digital Financial Technology ” In the fact sheet we find the following presidential promise: ELIMINATING REGULATORY OVERREACH ON DIGITAL ASSETS AND PROTECTING AMERICAN ECONOMIC LIBERTY: President Trump is fulfilling his promise to make the United States the “crypto capital of the planet.” I hope that you remember that Mr. Trump said on Feb 23, 2016, ‘ I love the poorly educated ’. This was in his victory speech after he won the Nevada Republican caucuses during his first presidential campaign. Mr. Trump’s supporters love him for being honest and straight forward. “ He tells it like it is! ” Here you see an example of his honesty and why he loves his supporters so much. And there is no doubt that he means what he says. He is now (February 2025) starting to dismantle the Federal Department of Education. Personally, I would feel offended when somebody tells me that he loves me and that he loves the poorly educated. Doesn’t that mean he thinks I am poorly educated?! Aside from the loving education that Mr. Trump loves to sell, - I hope you remember the settlements of the Trump University scam in November 2016 ($25,000,000 to settle claims of three lawsuits) - even the “lamestream media” like the Washington Post or New York Times are doing a terrible job at explaining to people the essence of the Crypto Industry. I cannot count how many articles I read where a journalist wrote that people invest in crypto when they purchase crypto coins. As an engineer educated in Germany, I like to share some insights that I gained with my cheap (indeed free) but valuable taxpayer-funded education and share it with those who may have gotten a not-so-cheap and less valuable education at Trump University or other questionable US for-profit educational institution. To understand the world, it is an excellent strategy to follow the money. Let’s apply this to Investing 101. We have some money. We give the money to a businessman and become shareholders or partners in his business. The businessman has a great product idea but no money. He will take some of the money as his salary, hire staff who also get a salary, buy machines, develop technology, and pay lawyers to protect the business and ideas. At this point our money has vanished into many recipients’ pockets and has provided financial fuel to launch products. The business sells the products and receives money. The money that flows back into the business for the goods that are sold is its revenue. If the business is successful, it will produce revenue that exceeds the ongoing expenses. In this case we say the business is profitable and the owners/shareholders can receive a share of the profits that are the difference between revenue and expenses. At this time I like to point out that there are many kinds of businesses. The world of business and ethics are connected. Bringing clean water to people’s homes is good for the people and society. Of course, the water should be sold at a fair price. Selling cigarettes might be a great business for shareholders and the government if taxes are collected, but it exploits the addiction of people and stinks. There are some institutions of higher education that allow sports betting businesses to gain access to their students’ bodies to pitch betting to them and get them hooked. I believe it would be beneficial for our society if the people who have money take the ethical implications of their investments into account when they make investment decisions. To understand the world of the Crypto industry and who the investors are in it, I would like to give you an example that most of you are familiar with. The gambling industry. Many of you have visited Las Vegas or similar places where gambling thrives. In Las Vegas, investors have built casinos and hotels where people can bring their money, stay, drink, gamble, and ultimately leave their money in Las Vegas. You may have heard the saying “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”. The place is truly amazing. Its glorious presence proves that your money did stay there the last time when you visited. Some people apparently have fun losing their money. Others get addicted to the risk of losing their last shirt. Most games that are played at casinos are engineered to ensure that the casino will never lose, at least in the statistical sense. In a few games the player can gain an advantage if he can count cards and then bet with knowledge of the improved probabilities. To protect their profit, casinos will monitor very closely what the gamblers are doing and will shut down any successful schemes that violate the #1 rule that your money must stay in sin city. With the helpful analogy of the gambling industry, it is easy to see that the investors in the Crypto space are those people who provide the money to create the Crypto coins, the computer systems that are required for trading, and the exchanges who handle the transactions. The investors will also pay for advertisements to hire celebrities to pitch crypto at the Superbowl. And pay politicians many $1,000,000 to get favorable rules and laws to market their gambling product to the public without having to fear for repercussions for taking advantage of the poorly educated. The people who buy crypto coins are like the gamblers in casinos. Some of them may get lucky if they buy a coin early and sell it to another gambler before the coin’s valuation collapses. If we look at all the gamblers as a large family, we can observe that money flows to the creators of the Crypto Casino. When we look at the value of crypto mining to society, we find that it is a mechanism where the people who are made to believe that they can get rich quickly transfer their hard-earned cash to the crypto overlords. There is no benefit to society. If you love Mr. Trump, you might remember that he said in June 7/2021, “ Bitcoin, it just seems like a scam ”. Fast forward to 2025 where the Crypto “Industry” plowed $245 Million into the election cycle to promote pro-crypto lawmakers and support Mr. Trump. These donations ultimately were a successful investment to buy favorable US Government treatment for the Crypto scam. Three days before his inauguration Mr. Trump became an investor in his own crypto casino with the $Trump and $Melania meme coins where anybody who wants to curry favors with the educator in chief can openly give him $1,000,000 or even $1,000,000,000. IMHO these coins should be trading under the alias $Emoluments coins. If you hold Crypto coins you might want to get out before their valuation will drop to their value. You have the first mover advantage if you can get out some real money before reality sinks in.
